When I came to the US the hardest part for me was learning English. I didn’t understand the language because I was new to the state, I had recently came from mexico. My parents wanted me to get a better life. I felt left out when I would see the other students playing and speaking English. I thought i would never learn by the way teachers wouldn’t try teaching me. They would think that I was unteachable.
Everyday after school my parents tried to figure out how to make me learn English. They tried talking to my teachers asking them for extra help. It wasn't working and so far I had almost a year in school. I thought to myself that everything was normal but in reality I wasn't learning nothing. After that year passed by was when I began to realize that I was falling behind In my English class. Out of the nowhere I knew some words that weren't hard to say. I knew I was doing good because my homework got easier. I made new friends in that way and help me even more.
The more I would learn English the faster time went by. I quickly learned to read and write but reading was always a struggle for me. Even to this day i have trouble reading but understand more as I did at first. After understanding the language teachers began to teach me how to write in English. Writing was easier for me then speaking. Spelling was hard but I learned fast as I would write more. Once I hit 7th grade I thought English was easy now I could speak it like I had no problem with it. I even started to help other people who didn’t know.
Freshman year I was put in a ELD class because I wasn’t fully English developed yet. ELD is a class where it helped me read and understand what i was reading which it has always been a problem for me. I been in the ELD class since I was a freshman because I thought I knew everything and thought I didn’t need it. Now that i'm a senior in a ELD class makes me feel bad because I knew I would of passed it the first year I was in there. This year I plan to finish up that class to prove that i'm a fully developed English speaking student. From all the years that has passed by I know I did a lot better. To think back at the first year and till now it’s been a big change for me. I consider myself that did a good job so far where I am at, it's where I wanted to be. I hope for me to learn even more in the future because you could never stop learning.

Age of Drinking
When should a person be considered as an adult? A person is considered as an adult at age 21 but not just because they know how to drive a car. A person is considered as an adult at age 21 when they are responsible for their actions, had experienced, and are old enough to make right decisions.
When should a person be considered as an adult? This question is always asked by many people. Well in my opinion a person is considered as an adult when they are responsible for their actions. When a person becomes adult they always make the right decisions in life. They are responsible by not drinking and driving, going to the military. Many adults after graduating from high school they have the ability to learn new skills and getting a job. Many people that become adult aren’t capable to be responsible through their adulthood. Some people that become adults get in fights, drinking and driving, and don’t care for a good career.
In addition for being responsible for their own actions adults had experiences. Many adults had had experiences by weather is the right decision to drink or not, or making decision if they leave school they will not have a good career. However even though people at age 21 had had experiences they also old enough to make right decisions in life. Teens understand to make right a decision when they mind develops to adulthood. Some reasons are they don’t drink while they drive, decide to go to college and they get a good career. After graduating adults get a good job.
In conclusion I agree that the age of 21 should be when teens are responsible for their actions, had h experiences and are old enough to make the right decisions in life. Even though some people believe that the right is 18 because of the age they come out of school and become adults. I believe are 21 because at this age teens mind starting to develop and make the right steps and decisions in life.
